Well, the Angels lost to Kansas City, 9-4. That's the way the ball bounces.

After the game I stayed up doing laundry and watching season 4 of Home Improvement. Not a bad way to spend the evening.

Well, Saddam is taking a cue from Cindy Sheehan:

BAGHDAD -- Saddam Hussein has not eaten in nearly two weeks, and doctors have advised him that refusing food could be bad for his health, a U.S. military spokesman said Thursday.

Hussein and three others have refused meals since dinner on July 7, although they drink coffee and water with nutrients, said Lt. Col. Keir-Kevin Curry, spokesman for detainee operations.

"They are examined daily by health professionals who advise them of the dangers of not eating," Curry said.

He said the 69-year-old ex-president and the others--who have not been identified but are believed to be co-defendants in Hussein's trial in the 1982 slaying of dozens of Shiites--were in good health.

Hussein's chief attorney, Khalil al-Dulaimi, said Hussein had gone on a hunger strike to demand better security for his lawyers after a defense attorney was assassinated last month. He was the third defense lawyer slain since the trial began Oct. 19.

Water with nutrients? Isn't that cheating??

What gets me is that first line. Next thing you know, they'll say that not breathing can cause dizziness!

In the DVD News Dept.:

Yesterday, Bob commented about waiting for the Batman TV series to come out. I went to TVShowsOnDVD.com and found the news item with all the info. Granted, the news post is seven months old, but it's the most recent info they have and, as the news item mentions, they LIVE for this stuff.

And at last, this item is on its way.

Just don't call me Shirley.

Today's title is by The Rutles. It was once included on a Beatles bootleg and incorrectly attributed to John Lennon.

So there.

Enough for now. Be seeing you.
