Independence Day

2007-07-04 - 12:33 p.m.

Happy Independence Day, all.

Play and drive safe. If you drink, don't drive. If you play with fireworks, for God's sake be careful.

I'd like all of you to be alive and whole for awhile.

Well, TNT has changed the NYPD Blue episode marathon schedule.

Used to be they'd run four episodes from 2am to 6am. Well, last night they ran an episode of their new series Heartland (which was actually pretty good). Then they ran the next-to-last Blue ep...and then they went to the beginning of the series.

So the final episode of the entire series...will air at 3am next Tuesday.

Sleep? What's that?

Woke up for good at noon. That heat warning didn't seem to be too bad - roommate Jim had opened the place up some before he went to work (some of us DO work on July 4th), and the apartment was warm but not stifling. According to my Weather Channel desktop icon, it's only 83.

Wish I knew where that sensor was.

So before I get on with it, here's an article from Mark Steyn. It appeared in the paper last Sunday, but I saved it for today.

Enjoy. And think.

===

Okay, that's it.

Drink lots of water and be safe.

Be seeing you.
