No [Real] Valentines

2009-02-16 - 12:52 p.m.

Welcome back, everyone. I hope you all had a good weekend, including Valentine's Day.

Mine was busy, but good:

On Friday, I went to Bob's to drop off the blank 10-99 forms for him to fill out. We sat and looked at the raw video footage from the last gig at Cero's. We sound and look surprisingly good.

I was then given the DVD with the raw video so that I could make a copy for myself and one for Dave Kern. Dave will be editing the video into something we can give to booking agents ("Take a look at this - it's a sampling of what we can do"). Then, after a brief shopping trip, I went to the local game store to look at card sleeves for the Pizza Box Baseball game. The owner was working that evening, and became interested in seeing the game. I agreed to come back on Sunday and let him check it out.

Saturday, I went to Dave's to drop off the DVD and visit briefly with his family. His wife Angie has recovered from her illness and looks fantastic.

On Sunday, I went back to the game store and demonstrated Pizza Box Baseball...and the owner is going to talk to his partner about stocking it. And he's also interested in the Gipf Project games! How cool is that?

This morning, the storm we'd been waiting for arrived with a vengeance. The neighborhood is soaked, and the rain is still coming down. According to my desktop widget, it's supposed to rain through tomorrow...then a new storm is scheduled to arrive on Sunday.

Hopefully I won't melt. Or drown.

This is the Dear Abby column published on Valentine's Day. IMHO, the first letter makes a lot of sense.

I hereby bestow a virtual Valentine to all my readers. I love you all - even the ones I disagree with.

I need to get to work. Yes, we're open despite the rain.

Be seeing you.
