Easy Come, Easy Go

Came home last night to find urine balls in the litter.

Hooray huzzah!

Well, I put Laila in her little "den" last night, and went to sleep...

...until about 7am.

Solange was laying near the bathroom door, meowing and sticking her paw underneath. I opened the door and found that Laila had missed the litterbox entirely.

Easy come, easy go - literally.

I cleaned up the mess and washed the towel. Then at 9am, I started dozing pretty hard...so Laila went back into the closed bathroom and I went back to bed.

Her next visit to the vet is Friday. It's an early drop-off, between 7:30 and 9am.

I'll probably come home and go back to bed.

I'm still trying to keep the bathroom as cool at possible. Right now, Weather.com says it's 90 degrees outside.

Tomorrow the temperature is supposed to drop about twenty degrees.

For all of us concerned, it can't happen soon enough.

Yesterday, Brin met up with our friend Art and he tossed $100 into the Repair Cat fund. This brings us up to $880.

I am grateful to all of you who donated. Remember, EVERY penny that is donated goes to the vet bill - there is no Appropriations Committee here to decide the funds are better used somewhere else. And once the bill is paid in full, the donation button comes down.

We all thank you.

RIGHT THIS MINUTE UPDATE:

At 12:16pm, Laila climbed into the box and used it:

She did spray against the back wall of the box. I've decided to let it dry - if that "marks" where she needs to pee (like it did when she was marking my back screen door) then she'll continue to pee there.

And that's a Good Thing.

And yes, I lavished praise upon her...as I was cleaning out the box.

Okay, now I gotta shower.
