Door

And now, the further adventures of The Healing Of Laila, brought to you by Tuna Helper.

Woke up very early this morning. Laila had jumped up onto the bed and curled up next to me. Solange didn't like that at all, so she jumped down from the window perch onto the bed. There was some growling before Solange and Laila got into it. It lasted just long enough for Solange to chase Laila out of the bedroom.

I got out of bed and found Solange standing in front of the bedroom door, obviously guarding it. I spent a little time with Laila, tried to admonish Solange (like she'd listen to me anyway), and went back to bed.

Once I woke up "for real", Solange jumped into my lap while I was seated at the computer. She stayed there until Laila entered the bedroom. Solange then jumped down and cornered Laila under the desk.

I picked Solange up and put her on the window perch. Laila then came out from behind my desk and laid down next to the chair. She stayed there for awhile, then moved back into the living room.

Solange obviously considers the bedroom "hers". I have no problems with Laila coming in here, but Solange does. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know.

Last night, I swung by the grocery store and got a hankering for Tuna Helper. I bought all the ingredients and, after feeding the kittehs, prepped and cooked it.

Or at least, I tried to. I have two skillets, and the biggest one just barely holds all the ingredients. You're supposed to cover-and-simmer, but it would bubble over if I covered it. I wound up simmering the thing uncovered. It came out good, though.

The recipe calls for two cups of hot water and two cups of milk. I wonder if I can reduce that to 1-3/4 cups each and get away with it.

Either that, or buy a bigger skillet.

Okay. Time to get going. I have to vote, and then I plan to have a nice relaxing lunch at HomeTown.

Be seeing you.
