Made it to the PO and got the package off to Australia.

Also stopped by the bank to deposit some cash and, because I was in a hurry, I used the envelope-free ATM.

Now, I'm not a fan of these machines. But the amount was small, I had my cell phone ready to dial...and, like I said, I was a little low on time.

Amazingly enough, it took my cash, counted it accurately, and credited it to my account right there.

I still have issues with the security - something about pulling out a bunch of cash out in the open like that makes me nervous - but the technology seems to be working.

Last night the rain came. A lot of it.

Poor Socks sat at my door, wanting to come in.

I had to say no. He's friendly with me, but I'm sure he's a walking flea-market.

And I'm sure he wants to have fun with the two female cats that live here. Sorry, buddy. Ain't gonna happen.

Wrestling legend Captain Lou Albano has passed away. He and Cyndi Lauper - yes, the singer - were both wrestling managers back in the day.

He was before "my time" - I watched WWF (now WWE) in the mid-80s - but it seems he was one of the nice guys. And it's always sad when we lose one of the nice ones.
