Things & Stuff
Blame It On The Future
2009-10-16 - 12:41 p.m.
Yesterday I spent the day running around getting stuff done.
Got the postage rate info for my latest eBay sale. It turned out to be less than I'd thought, so I passed the savings on to the buyer. Last night he sent me the payment with a thank-you note.
My Bluetooth tends to work its way out of my ear after I've worn it for a little while, so I went to the Verizon store to see if I could purchase some plastic slip-on ear buds for the speaker. It turns out they don't carry them - I would have had to call Motorola itself. I had found something on eBay that would have worked, but I wanted to see if Verizon had them comparably priced. But when they don't even carry them, eBay looks more likely.
At Target, I found a card game I'd been looking for...and it was less than $6. And at Wal-Mart, I found a DVD I'd been planning on getting. I grabbed both.
Then I stopped off at Bob's to drop off a couple things and pick up something else.
Then I came home and fell down.
The Dodgers lost last night. The Angels take on the Yankees tonight.
Dennis Miller comments here on Roman Polanski and Hollywood's use of a three-letter word to excuse Polanski's actions.
And it's probably not the word you're thinking of.
A justice of the peace in Louisiana says that, due to "concern for any children the couple might have", he will not issue marriage licenses to interracial couples. The JOP also says that "it is his experience that most interracial marriages do not last long".
Let me check the calendar...yep, it's still 2009.
If Rush Limbaugh can be denied the chance to purchase a minority ownership in an NFL due to "racial slurs", then these ACTUAL minority NFL team owners need to be fired.
Fair's fair, right?
Okay, I have a bit of laundry to do before work.
Be seeing you.
