Turn Your Heart Around

2009-11-02 - 9:56 a.m.

Everybody have a safe Halloween? Good.

Here we are in November already. Time is just running away.

Things change, and sometimes for the better.

I was in the bathroom yesterday. As Bill Cosby once said in a routine, I was "doing God's work". The cats walk in.

And while I'm sitting there, Solange leaned over and groomed Laila.

Usually it's the other way around; Laila will groom Solange. But this time the roles were reversed!

Does this mean that Solange is softening up even more? Time will tell. It always does.

Patience.

After making my credit card payment, I tried to graduate my secured card to an actual credit card.

This is one of the steps I have in my plan to get out of debt. The "actual" card would be an emergency card in case something truly bad happens.

So I called...and was told that, due to the initiation of new policies, I couldn't attempt to graduate my card until mid-January.

Arrrgh.

So I have to wait another 75 days or so.

Well, I'll make a couple more payments in that time. That should help cement my eligibility for the graduation.

Yeah, I know. Patience.

Mark Steyn writes here on "speaking truth to power" And the "power" spoken of seems to be...the health care protesters?

===

In the Who's Surprised At This? Dept.:

Congress actually used tax dollars to fund a study on ways they can avoid actually talking to their constituents and stay in office.

But wait, there's more - Hillary Clinton finally admits what we all knew already:

"We (the United States) tax everything that moves and doesnt move [...]"

Well, DUH.

===

Oh, and here's the video for today's title.

===

I spent much of Sunday asleep. Now I'm wide awake. I may sneak out early and get HomeTown for lunch.

I'm outta here.

Be seeing you.
