Take It Off

2010-01-18 - 12:35 p.m.

Yesterday the skies opened. The first in a series of storms scheduled to arrive this week - did.

It started at about 3pm, just as I was leaving for work. It went on as I did laundry at the laundromat, and continued through the night as I did laundry at home.

It paused for a bit, and then started again sometime last night. It's now cold and gray and windy and raining.

And this is supposed to continue through the week.

If the cats feel they should be fed, they let me know - usually by wrestling around. If I'm sleeping and wake up for ANY reason, they think I should get up and feed them.

Well, on Saturday morning I woke up for a moment and then tried to go back to sleep. Laila hopped back up onto the bed. I felt her moving around, then I felt something hit the bed near my hand.

It was her collar. Laila has figured out how to take off her collar.

I woke up enough and was able to get it back on. Then I went back to sleep.

Sunday morning, she did it again.

I shortened up the collar a couple millimeters and got it back onto her. This morning it stayed on.

We'll see what happens now.

Friday night I used the phrase "metric assloads" in front of Walter.

He laughed and said he liked it.

Despite the holiday and the rain, we're still going to be open. So I need to get ready for work.

Be seeing you.
