![]() Watch The Red Light 2006-05-16 - 7:57 a.m. Been too busy to post every day. Weekends are going to be especially tough, at least for a bit. But I'll try to keep up. I started this, and I'm going to continue it. === Last night, I was in a TV studio filming a show. It's a local public access show called OFF THE WALL, starring Bob Chance. He's the leader of the Bob Chance Band...you know, the one where I'm the drummer. I'm his "partner in crime", the Ed McMahon to his Johnny Carson. It's a music-variety show, filmed over two days. The first day we film the music spots, and we do all the "desk" shots the next shooting day. Bob and I run through the basics of the script and then film. It's ad-libbed, but we at least know kinda where it's headed. One take is usually all we need. Anyway. In the middle of a scene, my cell phone beeps. I had forgotten to turn it off. Fortunately, Bob and I already had a bit worked out. I pulled out the phone. "Hello? Yes dear...I'm working here...what? Wave to the camera??" So we wave and I break off the call. End of bit. But the bit had never been rehearsed in the studio, so the producer and the camera operators loved it. They thought it was brilliant ad-lib. So when it gets broadcast you all will get to see it. And, after broadcasting, the plan is to put it on the internet for public viewing. So if you're still using dial-up, now you have a reason to get a high-speed connection. === That's all for now. More later. Be seeing you. === ![]()
