Hold On!

2006-10-27 - 11:54 a.m.

Well, Brin is here. We all got off to a very late start, but we met in Lost Hills around 3:30. We had some lunch, and then started the drive home.

We hit bad bad traffic on the 5. Yeah, yeah...Los Angeles and traffic go together, I shouldn't be surprised. Yeah, but the last few times we've done this, traffic was fairly smooth. So stop-and-go at 7:00pm caught us off-guard.

We switched to the 60 figuring to change to the 57 later. Traffic was better, but not much. By the time we reached the 57/60 junction, I had been behind the wheel for almost four hours.

We stopped at a Del Taco to stretch and...ahem...lose some weight, and then hit the road again. Twenty minutes later we were at my place and she was taking over the bedroom.

We watched some Dick Van Dyke, namely an episode with Lennie Weinrib in it. Then, in honor of Lenny, we watched an episode of H. R. Pufnstuf. Then we nuked some food and fell down for the night.

Such was the day yesterday.

Today she's going to help me with some errands and I'm going to introduce her to the local Chinese restaurant.

Then nap time before the band gig.

But before I go, I have been exploring YouTube and found this. See how many famous faces you recognize.

I don't remember that song, but I sure recognized a lot of those people. I guess that was before Milli Vanilli was found out.
