![]() Wolf 2007-03-12 - 1:12 p.m. Well, let's see. Sunday I picked up Peter Pan on DVD, then went to my game group. Played (and WON) Illuminati: Crime Lords and took second in Ticket To Ride: 1910. During the game meet, Brin texted me with the news about Richard Jeni. I was stunned - he'd been pretty much out of the news lately, so no one knows if he had any troubles serious enough to take himself out of the game. I'm sure we'll find out in the days to come. But then, the firestorm won't be like it was for Anna Nicole. I made it home in time to catch the updated Star Trek episode. This one was Wolf in the Fold, one of my favorite Trek episodes. I was interested to see what was done to it. In terms of upgrading special effects, not much - the ship and planet were updated, as usual. But they sliced the living hell out of it. Whole chunks of dialog were torn out - the worst being in the opening. The FIRST line is Kirk offering the dancer one of their pillows. All the other lines before that one were sliced out. It was butchery worthy of the episode's subject. According to Wikipedia, the next "updated" episode is this one, to be broadcast in about three weeks. I'm interested in seeing how they changed it...but I'm sure there will be huge chunks cut out. === Today's title is from the punk group 999. And you thought I didn't like punk. I just don't like too much of it. === Got called in early. Be seeing you. === ![]()
