Scary Movies

2007-10-26 - 10:32 a.m.

Well, yesterday Brin and I went to Disneyland and met up with her blogger friend Cutie Latina. We hung out at California Adventure for a bit (introducing her and her husband to Soarin', Muppets, and Monsters Inc.), then went to the main Park.

In the middle of all the fun, I got paged to come into work. It seems one of the employees wasn't going to show. So Brin and I cut the day short and I ran home, changed clothes and went in. I wound up being there for an hour before the employee got an attack of the guilts and showed up. I came back home, and Brin and I briefly discussed going back to the Park. Unfortunately, we were both too bushed to head out again, so we both took a nap and had dinner.

We also did some laundry and watched Shaun Of The Dead. While I'm not a fan of the horror movie genre, this one is pretty good - some blood and "shock surprise" moments, but also very funny in parts.

Speaking of DVDs...

When we went to Target to get me a new phone headset, I found a DVD set that I just had to get. It was a collection of the classic Rankin-Bass specials - the stop-motion standards that appear every year. I also saw Corpse Bride on sale for less than $10...but it was the full-screen version. That would be a "no".

I've also been looking for the DVD of The Nightmare Before Christmas, but have been unable to find it anywhere, even at Disneyland. A Disney employee finally told me what's going on - the DVD was pulled last year. It's being remastered and will be re-released "by the end of this year". So the question became: do I find it on eBay or wait two months?

I'll wait, thanks.

Today's title really exists - it's a rap song that features Eminem.

Today I go pay the gas bill and we grab some lunch. Then, most likely, a nap and the gig.

In short, a typical Friday at Chez Too Old.

Shower's free.

Be seeing you.
