Heart Attack

Well, I almost had a minor heart attack last night, in the form of my bank statement.

I did an online check last night. My work payment had been deposited. But on the checks/withdrawals/debits screen, there was no mention of my rent check...which means, once that cleared, I'd have $2 for the next two weeks.

Once my heart returned to normal, I called my bank and went through the automated system. They had the same balance...but when I did THAT checks/withdrawals look-see, the rent check was there...and had, in fact been cleared on WEDNESDAY.

I checked again online, and there it was - third item down. Either it wasn't on the list the first time I looked, or (more likely) I just plain missed it.

So I'm solvent. All is well, at least on the financial status.

Democrat Joe Lieberman comes down on his own party, saying they are more interested in hurting Republicans than taking care of foreign policy.

I wonder if they'll listen.

If I'm going to kitty-proof the apartment for an eventual furry friend, then I need to do some shopping.
