I Should Have Known Better

Okay, I screwed up. Yesterday was NOT President's Day - it's NEXT Monday.

But some of our local school districts had the day off, so we WERE busy.

But I was wrong about the holiday. Hence the title.

According to this article, the streetlights in some areas of Great Britain are going to be turned off at night in the suburban areas. The lights will be turned off from midnight to 5am.

Despite residents' groups warning that crime and car accidents will increase - a lack of lights will do that - the lights will still be turned off.

Why? All in the name of global warming. Better that crime go up and more cars crash than Al Gore not be validated.
