We Play The Game

2008-05-15 - 12:02 p.m.

The temperature has gone up again here in soCal. It's supposed to go up into the 90s and possibly 100s today and tomorrow.

Solange has many cool spots to lie in. No worries.

I don't suppose many of you have checked out the Gipf Project site lately (link at left and a lot of basic info way back here).

Well, the second game of the series - TAMSK - is being replaced. I don't remember the exact reason why at this moment (possibly due to TAMSK not being as well-received as the other games). Anyway, the new game is called TZAAR. I ordered it on Monday from Boards & Bits (you can order it here).

Last night I got word that TZAAR has shipped. I'm looking forward to bringing it to the next game meeting.

In the Do As We Say, Not As We Do Dept.:

The folks on the left had a field day last Christmas when Mike Huckabee sent out a campaign ad that showed part of a bookcase in the background - because the two pieces looked like a cross.

Well, Barack Obama is campaigning in Kentucky with this.

But that's okay because he is the "chosen one", right?

===

ABC News is wondering if Obama's tax policy may be too liberal.

But...but...he's going to tax the "evil rich" even more, despite the fact that they already pay more than their share!!

===

Speaking of Democrats, it's costing $9,000/week for the Director of Emergency Management...for the DNC in Denver. This was funded by a $50 million grant by the federal government (i.e., tax dollars).

By the way, they hired the same guy who was security chief at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. You remember...where the bomb went off.

===

Laundry day - yes, in the heat. It's either that or chafe something awful.

Then, tonight's baseball game. Angels v. White Sox.

Be seeing you.
