According to my Weather Channel Desktop widget, the temperatures are supposed to stay in the mid-80s for the next ten days.

I'm certainly hoping so. But it wouldn't surprise me if it turns out to be much hotter...and not from global warming.

It's that thing called summer.

Neil Boortz (link at left) makes a good point about Barack Obama's plan to raise taxes on those making more than $250,000/yr...or as Democrats like to call them, the "rich".

I said this before. When I was younger, "rich" to me meant a million per year. Now, slowly, the definition has dropped. Now, if it's down to $250,000/yr, what's next? Will I, someday, be called rich - even though my income is perhaps a tenth of what is "rich" now?

Interesting article here about the possibility of an "oil bubble", like there was a "housing bubble".

We can always hope. I drive very little (a full tank usually lasts me at least two weeks) and last week it cost $65 to fill up. It was about $50 last year.
