Soak It Up

Sorry for the late post. The internet was spotty last night, and this morning it went down completely. It finally came back up after I got out of the shower.

So The New Yorker puts Barack and Michelle Obama on its cover in a satirical pose, and now Obama and the Democrats are complaining.

Two things here. I recall Hillary complaining that, at one of the debates, all the men were "piling on" to her, and they were picking on her because she was a woman. And now Obama can't take being satirized. Gosh, how will he take it if he's elected and a foreign leader insults him?

Secondly, as the article shows there have been numerous insulting caricatures of George W. Bush...and I don't recall the Republicans crying over it.

Speaking of Bush, he says he's going to lift the executive ban on off-shore drilling...which is fine, if Congress votes to let drilling happen. Like the Dems would allow that.

And Nancy Pelosi again calls Bush's plan "a hoax", and says it won't do anything about oil prices.

Walter Williams disagrees.

Short post since I must get to work. Possibly no post tomorrow - it depends on how much time I have, since I'll be working a day shift.
