Shake, Rattle, And Roll

Well.

As I was typing this entry, an earthquake hit. The apartment started to roll. It was a wobblewobblewobblewobbleWHAMwobblewobble. On the WHAM, my printer fell over slightly and things landed on the bathroom floor. Solange hid behind my dresser, and I just hung on till the ride was over.

Now the news is coming in - it was a 5.4 quake, centered in Chino (about fifteen miles NE of me, as the crow flies), and only about seven miles underground. There are some broken water mains, which is to be expected.

I got some Fancy Feast for Solange, and had to coax her out of the bedroom. She was stepping VERY cautiously, as if she was afraid the floor would disappear under her paws. She's now inspecting the whole place and making sure the place is all right.

It's an hour later. The things that fell are back where they belong. Now we wait for any aftershocks.

If any of my readers went through it, I hope you're all okay...including your pets.
