Move Away

2008-08-29 - 12:57 p.m.

Last night, the living room got detailed.

Furniture was moved and vacuumed under. More things got thrown away. Solange would move from spot to spot as the vacuum approached where she was. Maybe she stayed in the same room because she loves me - either that or she was waiting for more food.

I also got to watch the Angels/Rangers game. They got into a 4-0 hole after the first inning, but Angels pitcher Jon Garland regrouped and pitched for the next seven innings. The Angels came back with a five-run 8th to win 7-5, with Frankie Rodriguez picking up his 51st save.

With this win and Seattle's loss on Wednesday, the Mariners are officially out of the running. The Angels' "magic number" is 13 - any combination of Angels wins and Rangers losses that add up to 13 will clinch the division for the Angels.

If the Angels win the next three games against the Rangers, the magic number will drop to 7. They may clinch the division before Brin and I attend the 9/11 game.

This will be the campaign of the unconventional.

Not only do we have a black presidential candidate, but we also have a female candidate for vice president.

And according to this article, many Democrat contributors are now switching over to McCain.

This promises to be a very interesting campaign.

===

McCain didn't have to do this, but he did anyway - he released an ad congratulating Obama.

Will Obama respond in kind? Don't count on it. But I'd love to be proven wrong.

===

In Denver, at least one kind of business didn't get the anticipated boost in business during the Democratic convention.

But there's an electronics convention coming next week.

[sarcasm]
And we all know how those computer geeks are, right?
[/sarcasm]

Oh no! It's now too expensive for Diddy to use his private jet!

Welcome to the real world.

===

Time to get things done for today.

Have a good weekend.

Be seeing you.
