I hope you all have had a Merry Christmas. Some of you may be recovering from over-indulging. Some of you may be out shopping.Some of you may be playing with new toys.

Me, I'll be going out into the world for awhile before I get to all that laundry I didn't do on Wednesday.

Well, the Traffic Gods took pity on me for the Thanksgiving Nightmare. Despite what the weather guys call "patchy intermittent rain", traffic was smooth both ways.

Christmas was much quieter this year - some family members couldn't make it. But I got some very useful gifts and more turkey for Solange.

After I got home, I collapsed very early...like at 730pm. I woke up for a bit at 1130, then fell back asleep until about 1030am this morning.

I feel much better, much more rested.

During my brief surfing last night, I learned that Eartha Kitt had passed.

Here's how to know how old you are. If you hear the name Eartha Kitt and the first thing you think is "the voice of Yzma", you're young. If you think "Catwoman", you're around my age. If you think "C'est Si Bon", you're my parent's age.

If you think of "Santa Baby", you probably listen to too much Christmas music.

There's some sales I mean to take advantage of, and I need to get some errands done. It's cold and windy here, so I need to take a warm shower and bundle up.
