It was supposed to rain yesterday. It didn't. Instead, the temperature dropped about ten degrees. It got down into the 40s when I was driving home.

Now they're announcing a wind advisory through tomorrow. I have to keep the windows closed in my room, because the wind is coming from that direction - and it's a cold wind. The outside temp is supposed to be 61, but in here it feels like 50...and the wind just makes it worse.

I'm seriously considering a ceramic disc space heater for this room. The ceramic disc heaters operate at a much lower temperature than the metal coil heaters, so it's safer for the kitteh. It's something I could even leave on as I sleep.

Of course, as soon as I buy it there'll be a ninety degree heat wave.

President Obama has declared a ban on earmarks in this stimulus package (now up to $825 billion, by the way).

Lobbyists, of course, don't give a damn. They'd rather the money go here.

Al Gore's testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on fighting "global warming" may have to be canceled.

Guess why.

A private company will be launching Majel Roddenberry's remains into space...along with a portion of her husband Gene's ashes.

May they ride the spaceways for eternity.

There is much for me to do, and less time to do it in.

Be seeing you.
