Well, the temperatures have jumped into the low 100s here. The evening are a bit cooler but very humid.

When this weather happens, I get logy - I slow way WAY down.

Once I get to work and I'm in the air conditioning, I'll be better.


All of you on Medicare - be ready to give up some of your coverage if the government health insurance plan goes through.

So says Rep. Betsy Markey.

So some things in Medicare will be cut back, so other people can get coverage. How is this not "rationing"?

Oh, and Howard Dean has actually said why there is no lawsuit reform in this bill - they didn't want to make trial lawyers mad at them.

Here's more on the dollars-for-dishwashers program I mentioned yesterday.

Each state can pick which models qualify and for how much. And since the manufacturers don't know which models will qualify - and therefore, which ones to make more of - they are in a bit of a holding pattern.
