Quiet weekend for me, not so much for the rest of the world.

Unless you've had all your media turned off, you know who Falcon Heene is.

Reports are coming in that the whole "balloon boy" stunt was concocted MONTHS ago. Discussions are now being held as to whether or not the parents will be hit with felony charges and/or the bill for the search, which could be up to $500,000.

My question: When Falcon said the "you said we did this for a show" to Wolf Blitzer, Blitzer asked his dad Richard to clarify the boy's comment. Richard Heene bobbed and weaved and dodged and wouldn't answer. Why didn't Blitzer follow up and press the dad for an answer?

The Angels lost the first two games of the ALCS. They now come home to play today. If they win one, I might get to see some on Thursday.

I dropped them an e-mail - the new volumes are at the printers and are scheduled to be available mid-November.

Now, if artist Brooke McEldowney can just get a deal going for publishing 9 Chickweed Lane...
