Time Goes By

2009-12-31 - 10:05 a.m.

Here we are.

New Year's Eve 2009.

A year (and a decade) of ups and down, highs and lows.

We started with Y2K and ended with a behind-closed-doors in-the-dead-of-night Senate vote.

Me personally? Entered the decade engaged, got married, got divorced, started blogging AND Tweeting, moved three times, got two cats and two promotions.

Here's a list of folks we lost.

The one that surprised me was Blossom Dearie. Most of you know her voice and will go "ohhhh, her" when I say one phrase she sang.

Last night I made the final payment on Laila's vet bill.

Thank you once again to Brin and John for loaning me the money, and all you fine folks who clicked the now-gone link and donated.

We say thankya big-big.

So here's the plan for today:

I work till 4. Rush home, feed the kittehs, shower, change clothes, load the car, and haul ass to our NYE gig by 6pm for an 8pm start. Oh, and fit some dinner in there somewhere.

Play through the gig. Come home, unload the car, feed the kittehs, and fall down.

I'd better get on with it.
