A Dream Within A Dream

2010-05-05 - 11:13 a.m.

Well, I did it.

For the first time EVER, I managed to make an omelet without having it disintegrate into scrambled eggs.

I just got it into my head to try to make a chili cheese omelet. The hard part was going to be the egg part. Every time I've tried, I couldn't flip the omelet without it falling apart.

This time I succeeded. I was amazed.

Then some chili and cheese inside, slide it onto the plate and fold it over, then more chili and cheese on top, and then nuke it a bit to melt the upper cheese.

I don't think I've ever enjoyed an omelet more.

Had a dream a couple days ago.

I found myself on a boat on a dock - some kind of public transportation (I wasn't alone), but nothing like a big cruise ship. I had a bag with me, so I realized I was traveling somewhere. And I also somehow knew I was going to another country, someplace far away...and I'd be gone for awhile.

The boat pulled away from the dock...and I suddenly realized that I'd only packed an overnight bag. I also knew that I didn't have an electric outlet converter kit.

Then there was an announcement that we'd be stopping in an American city. Whew - I'd be able to pick up what I needed there.

Then I was on a bus. The bus driver insisted on playing loud "current" music during the trip.

The rest is a blur.

So...is something coming up that I need to prepare for? If so, how do you prepare for the unknown?

Hmmm.

Well, the Red Sox are pounding the Angels this series.

The good news is that Brandon Wood seems to have found his swing.

Al Gore strikes again.

I wonder if he bought carbon credits from his own company.

All rightie. Onward.

Be seeing you.
