I called Pinnacle Foods today. Yes, I called them - I actually had a phone number.

I spoke with "Sig" and she agreed to pass my concerns on to the QA folks, and she promised to send me a coupon.

The Federal Government has filed a lawsuit against the state of Arizona for SB 1070, the law that is doing the job that the federal government won't do.

If what Arizona is doing is so wrong, why isn't Rhode Island getting the same treatment?

Lindsay Lohan has been sentenced to 90 days in jail for parole violations.

Lohan has gone astray due to parents and yes-men who haven't had the nerve to tell her "no". Same thing with Britney Spears - what might've happened if Spears had been told "NO, you're NOT going out clubbing, you're going to stay home with your kids"? Maybe not much good, or maybe a lot of good.

One of my favorite songs says "It's so hard to hit the bottom when you used to see the top / But it's easy treading water when you can't survive the drop". Maybe Lohan needs to hit bottom to see that there's still a way out.

Yes, what she has become is sad and pathetic. But I hope that she turns herself around and gets her life back.

Interesting thought - what if Robert Downey Jr. seeks her out and offers to mentor her? "I've been where you are...let me give you some tools to fix this." It would be worth a try, wouldn't it?

Just found out that she had written "FUCK U" on her middle fingernail and had it pointed at the judge during her tearful "apology". I still hope she gets straightened out, but there's more doubt now. Can the judge retroactively convict for contempt of court?

That's it for now. Sorry for the small post, but I have laundry and assorted apartment stuff to do before today's Angels / White Sox game. Let's hope they can win at least one.
