This Door Swings Both Ways

2009-10-20 - 11:04 a.m.

Another one of those woke-up-too-early-and-can't-go-back-to-sleep mornings.

The Angels took another game into extra innings. This time, they beat the Yankees - catcher Jeff Mathis hit a double to drive in the winning run in the bottom of the 11th.

Let's see now...

First game: Lost 4-1.
Second game: Lost 4-3, 13 innings.
Third game: Won 5-4, 11 innings.

We started at one extreme, and now it's swinging the other way. If the trend continues, they should win tonight in nine innings.

Go Angels!

Speaking of the extra-inning game in New York...

Not only did the fans at Yankee Stadium get to watch an exciting baseball game, they also had to deal with icy wind and freezing rain...which was NOT helped by a huge, steaming pile of Bandini.

On the other side, the Dodgers are down 3-1 in their series against the defending World Series champs, the Phillies.

Looks like there may not be a Freeway World Series this year.

I found a nice Twitter icon. It's now to your left.

The package has arrived to the Aussie buyer, and I got positive feedback. Hotcha!

One or two last items to deal with before I pick up Brin at the airport.

Be seeing you.
