Walking With The Kid

Yesterday turned out be a kind of a bust.

I spent about an hour or so getting my insurance claim for my phone dealt with, but I was told I should have the new one today. Then I grabbed some breakfast and headed to Disneyland... only to find that the "free pass" I had been given was actually a used one. I called my benefactor, and found that he had given me the wrong pass (he had bought several earlier in the year), and he had already thrown the others away, believing they were worthless. He did, however, graciously offer to pay for my parking. Parking at Disneyland is up to $11 now.

So, instead, I walked around Downtown Disney for a few hours. I got into ESPN Zone and went up into their arcade area. Almost all the games are sports-themed, naturally, and almost all of them are very physical - bike-riding, boxing, bowling, football-passing, and so on. I played for awhile and got some exercise, got a smoothie at Jamba Juice, and then WALKED back to the parking structure.

Hey, if I wasn't going to walk around Disneyland, I was sure gonna get some exercise SOMEHOW.

Today I hope to get my new phone and get everything transferred to it.

It's also cloudy and overcast, with rain in the forecast...which makes it all kinds of fun to move the drums to my car to take them back to the club. And there are some really big puddles in the parking lot over there - you ever try jumping a puddle while carrying a bass drum? Don't do it. Trust me.

Other than that, not much else happening. Other than the phone, I'm just gonna kick back for awhile.

I'll top that. Try undoing cables from an arena and having to go beneath the stands with all sorts of mystery drippage trickling onto your parka. :D
