Everyone make it back with all their bits and pieces intact? Good.

There was so much smoke from the fireworks that Camelot looks hazy, like a foggy night. But it was too warm to be fog...and it gave me a headache.

New York Times columnist David Brooks weighs in on Bush's pardon of Scooter Libby.

It should be noted that Libby spend exactly the same amount of time in jail - for the same offense - as Bill Clinton.

Well, we now know who killed Chris Benoit - the government:

ATLANTA -- Chris Benoit's mother said she wonders whether her son would still be alive if federal agents had been more aggressive when they discovered the professional wrestler was buying large quantities of steroids.

So Benoit himself had no responsibility over what he put in his body. He had no knowledge about what steroids are capable of doing.

And SHE had no responsibility to teach him right from wrong.

Want to piss off a Frenchman? Go do this.

Found this on Boortz' site.

Note the quote in the box. Then tell me this is a peaceful religion.

Got errands to do today. There's a ball game on TV I want to watch.

Then maybe a movie.

I love days off.

Be seeing you.

Boortz has been good about recifying misstatements. Something will most likely get posted on his site tomorrow.

"On the July 5 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio show, while discussing President Bush's commutation of former vice presidential chief of staff I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby's jail sentence, Neal Boortz falsely claimed that "Scooter Libby and Bill Clinton got sentenced and convicted for exactly the same crime."

As Media Matters for America has previously noted, Clinton was not indicted on criminal charges of perjury by independent counsel Robert Ray or his predecessor, Kenneth Starr.

By contrast, a federal jury convicted Libby on four counts of perjury, obstruction of justice, and making false statements. U.S. District Judge Reggie B. Walton subsequently sentenced him to 30 months in federal prison."
