Sunday we had a gaming night and, since it was Halloween, it was a "trick" night...as in, trick-taking games.

I got there late since I had to work, but I got in some good games of Lord Of The Fries and Tichu. Then, after most of the group had left, I was invited to play some Hearts.

It was a good evening.

A Florida reporter asked Joe Biden some tough questions. Rather than answer them, Joe Biden blew her off...and now the Obama campaign has canceled an interview with Biden's wife. The Obama campaign also said "further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election".

Ask some tough questions, lose all access? Interesting, since the McCain campaign didn't cut off all the major networks after the questions that were asked of Sarah Palin.

Over here, columnist Amanda Carpenter talks about an interview in 2001 where Obama talks about how the courts should "redistribute wealth".

Federal agents report that they have broken up a plot to murder a large number of blacks, culminating in the assassination of Obama.

Good for the agents. In this day and age, racism is just ridiculous. The two plotters, described as "neo-Nazi skinheads", deserve all the prison time they get.

Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother were murdered on Friday, and today the body of her missing nephew seems to have been found. The boy was seven.

Prayers and condolences to all families involved, and hopes that the killer is swiftly caught and brought to justice.

Because anyone who would murder a seven-year-old boy needs to be put away.

The questions in the Biden interview fell just short of the political version of 'When did you stop beating your wife,' and have little bearing on the issues at hand unless you really do believe Obama is a secret Muslim socialist black militant out to destroy America.
