School starts again today for most of the districts in the area. Work will be a quiet drone...at least until mid-February.

Friday night, I did go to the Park. I just couldn't enjoy myself, though. There were so many people there, and no matter where I stood, that just happens to be where everyone wanted to walk.

I'm not kidding. It was like a Warner Bros. cartoon. I would look both ways. There wouldn't be anyone within ten feet of me. I'd take two steps...and suddenly at least four people would be there and I'd be right where they wanted to walk.

I wound up staying in the shops during the fireworks and the mass exodus. I just got tired of being in everyone's way.

Last night the temperature dropped back into the mid-40s. I actually went to bed fully clothed, all the way down to my slippers.

I was saying this back when gas prices were high - the station owner gets 7-9c/gallon, and the government gets 61c/gallon.
