![]() Wet 2010-01-19 - 1:01 p.m. Well, it stopped raining for awhile yesterday. I tried to clean the water off the mini-golf courses, but the grounds were saturated to the point where the water literally had no place to go. Also, despite the fact that it was a holiday people still had to go to work and school in the morning. So we closed early. We just didn't have the customers to make it worth keeping open. This morning the skies have opened again. It's raining REAL good. === Today there's an historic election in Massachusetts. Republican Scott Brown is actually leading Democrat Martha Coakley, and by a substantial margin. If Brown wins, it puts President Obama's health care vote in serious jeopardy because it end the 60-vote majority in the Senate so Democrats can force a vote. This has John Kerry "upset", especially since out-of-state supporters are coming in-state to support Brown. Supposedly these out-of-state folks are engaging in "bullying and threats". So they are doing what SEIU did, which nobody in Congress seemed to care about? If it's close, I predict another recount that will drag into weeks, kinda like Minnesota. We'll see what happens, won't we? === Well, if I'm gonna make it in to work in this weather, I need to get going. Be seeing you. === ![]()
