A Foggy Day In London Town

2007-02-07 - 11:16 a.m.

Wednesday morning. It was very foggy last night, the kind of fog that you don't see too often down here. It's happened on club nights - we'd take the stage at 12:30, and when we leave at 1:30 it'll be pea-soup time. According to my Weather Channel Desktop program, there was a fog warning until 9am. It's now just a little cloudy.

But if I have to stay inside, I could always get one of these.

Nancy Pelosi wanted (and got) a jet to fly back and forth from California...and not just for her.

If she starts voting for global warming items, she better be willing to give that up.

Speaking of global warming...looks like the famous "polar bear picture" is being taken out of context.

Also, Al Gore is saying that the Bush administration is paying scientists to dispute global warming. But, gee...aren't the scientists who are promoting it also getting paid, in the form of grant money? If the man-made global warming argument is false, all that grant money goes away.

Hm.

This came in my e-mail last night.

Jesse Jackson has added former Chicago Democrat Congressman Mel Reynolds to Rainbow/PUSH Coalition's payroll. Reynolds was among the 176 criminals excused in President Clinton's last-minute forgiveness spree. Reynolds received a commutation of his six-and-a-half-year federal sentence for 15 convictions of wire fraud, bank fraud, and lies to the Federal Election Commission. He is more notorious, however, for concurrently serving five years for sleeping with an underage campaign volunteer.

This is a first in American politics: An ex-congressman who had sex with a subordinate...won clemency from a president who had sex with a subordinate...then was hired by a clergyman who had sex with a subordinate!

His new job?

Actually...they're NOT kidding. It's a bit of old news, but the basics are true.
