So I got a phone call yesterday from Anjte, the nice shelter lady who I met earlier this month. She got another bonded pair that need to be placed - and she thought I was a wonderful cat person who could give them a home.
So I'm going to go meet the kittehs later today and see how we get along.
I just hope THIS doesn't happen:
I'm just sayin'.
I was at Carl's Jr. yesterday, having dinner, and I heard a song come over the PA. I jotted down a line from the song and Googled it when I got home.
The song is called "Just The Girl" by a group called The Click Five. By looking at the video, it looks like what a previous generation called "bubblegum" music - they even have a song on the Hannah Montana soundtrack, so there's your audience right there.
In this and one of their other videos, they're wearing suits with ties and looking very clean-cut and Beatlesque, which IMHO is a good thing. And the songs are catchy - I've liked what I've heard so far.
Take a look at the video. It may be something that appeals to you, too.
(This is the item today's title links to - watch the video and you'll understand.)
A Dutch lawmaker is planning a short film that criticizes the Quran, pointing out passages he calls "fascist". I'm sure that some radical Islamic extremists will soon be calling for his death very soon. Just ask Theo van Gogh.
Oh wait, you can't - van Gogh was murdered by an Islamic extremist over his movie "Submission"...and that film's writer has a death threat, also.
Are you an illegal alien, looking for an ID card? San Francisco has a plan for you!
Well, I have a couple things to do before I drive out to Long Beach again. Wish me - and my hopefully future roommates - luck.
Be seeing you.
