Freeze Frame
2009-07-14 - 11:40 a.m.
It was brought to my attention that I had forgotten to give the kittehs their flea drops. I wound up doing that this morning. Now I have to keep an eye on them so they don't try grooming each other. I figure it'll be okay in another hour or two. === In New York, a teenage girl was texting someone (no surprise there, right?) and fell into an open manhole. Evidently there were no orange cones or protective railing. Naturally, a lawsuit is possible. The fact that the girl wasn't looking where she was going likely will have nothing to do with it. Yes, of course there should have been some warning signs around the manhole. But still. And that's a terrible picture on the freeze-frame of the video. It makes her look like Jon Heder. === The tab for police and fire protection for Michael Jackson't funeral - approximately $1.4 million - will be paid by the city of Los Angeles, says Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. This despite the fact that the city is $540 million in the red and laying people off. === Okay. I have things to do. Be seeing you.
