Leak In The Building

Woke up this morning to a rainstorm...and wonky internet. Again.

It's gotta be the rain. There's something leaking into a cable junction somewhere. With my luck, it'll be somewhere in the Pacific.

Yesterday I took Brin to the airport and sent her back to John. On the way home, as is my wont, I stopped off at the local Jamba Juice for a smoothie.

Or I would have. They were closed.

So I went to Juice It Up!...which also was closed.

Then I remembered. It was 8pm on Sunday night. Most of the United States rolls up the sidewalks at 6pm on Sunday.

So instead I came home, bundled up against the cold, did laundry, ate leftover Chinese food, and watched The Nightmare Before Christmas.

While I was surfing the then-working internet last night, it made the news that the Angels "are out of the Teixiera derby".

In the Fark comment thread, I got one of the coveted "this" awards.

Yay me!

I got word that, due to the rain that's supposed to be here most of the week, we'll be closing at 5pm on Christmas Eve, instead of the usual 6pm. Yeah, yeah...it's only an hour. But the logic is, if it's raining we won't sell golf, and with no golfers coming in to play video games it'll be quieter than usual.

So most likely I'll spend the night of Christmas Eve watching holiday classics like Rudolph, Frosty, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town...and A South Park Christmas.

Maybe I'll stock up on popcorn.

About today's title - we have a couple leaks in the roof at work. Every time they get fixed, new ones appear.

Don't worry, I wasn't talking about the apartment.
